i cannot say that life after obt is good or bad
because both also have

lets just start from the top
3-12sept2008
didnt sleep at all on the 2nd cos i was busy chatting online
end up i slept on the plane like omg so long
the funny thing was
(fyi i was seating along the passageway on the plane)
when i was sleeping,
my head kept rocking because of turbulence
then, i almost hit the food cart with my head
the two air stewardess kept laughing at me la =/
wth! so they were like offering me food while laughing at me
i didnt manage to finish my movie - red cliff
slept too much on the plane to watch the full show properly
anyway after i landed,
the weather was freaking hot damn it!
summer in taiwan is more summer than singapore
so a one hour or so bus ride to the obt campsite
not wad i expected
(i expected sth like obs in ubin)
but it was opposite an office building and near hostels
and 15 of us went
and we met 8 other taiwanese uni students (7 were 21 and 1 is 22)
so the 23 of us played some ice breaking games
learnt some knots which i already know
rather boring day in taiwan imho
so pitched tents and basha then bathe and sleep
day two was more fun because...
RIVER TRACING!
super fun can! but the water was damn freaking cold
freezing water from the mountains
all the guys felt like their balls were shrinking haha
(oops! pardon the crudeness, but for better effects its necessary)
there's this part where we did trust falls into a pool
and the instructor called it the wishing pool
(you know wad i wished for)
=)
i did like 3 trust falls and its fun..but the best is yet to come
as we moved on, here comes the diving pool!
damn deep la!
there was cannon balling into the water
hardgaying into the water
twists and turns into the water
alot of stunts la haha
mind you guys its a freaking deep pool naturally made by the waterfall
being 1.8m tall, diving into the water i also cannot touch the floor
go figure =P
and we moved onto the water slide!
but cut short of it cos the rain was coming
the weather changes like damn fast..
walked in the super heavy rain back to the gathering point
i tink my helmet collected water
more or less covers the day 2 highlights
day 3 onwards to day 8
went to climb on the mountain
i scaled 3/100 peaks in taiwan!
zi jia yang mountain
xue shan dong feng (east peak)
xue shan zu feng (main peak)
the route was really dangerous
imagine..
rock climbing with a 20kg backpack
no safety equipment except a helmet
lives of 15 people
but when we reached, the other team sang to welcome us
they waited in the cold mountain peak for half an hour
3886m! second highest peak in taiwan!
descended to about 3500m where we stayed for one night
this is the night when i caught a cold
sucks to be sick
its mainly caused by fatigue from like climbing since 7am
and the cold winds that come in the evening at about 7pm
apparently i was just wearing a dri fit t shirt on the summit haha
but as usual..
sleep regenerates me!
back to normal the next day
even can sing song..you say leh? haha
on the 8th day, one taiwanese gal hurt her knee
some guys carried her down the mountain
but i helped to organise the rest of the groups
and brought everyone safely down the mountain
the instructors praised me haha! yay!
i left a good impression =)
never hao lian cos its real!
this night, we had steamboat together
it was really the best moment we all spent together as a team
felt as if we were a big family formed over the past 9 days together
went through thick and thin together
(considering my lousy living conditions)
leaking basha, sandfly bites, crappy food (not cos of our lousing cooking)
everyday is veggie veggie veggie veggie
the taste of meat is so rare!
shopping on the last day!
nth much to shop la..just eat their authentic food
so i ate many kinds of smelly beancurd (chou tou fu)
garlic flavour, ma2 la3 flavour, hong2 shao1 flavour
freaking nice..
u know taiwan sausage?
its much nicer in taiwan haha!
unlike the normal pasar malam one..
blah blah blah insignificant stuff

watched "forgetting sarah marshall", finished my red cliff, some ironman
the pasta is nice (unlike the rice)

omg! the family was there to welcome us back!

travelled by mrt back home
freaking tired.
